Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to make music with Renovate Audio. Here is what we do, what still needs work, and how to reach us.

Last reviewed: October 25, 2026

1 Our Commitment

Renovate Audio is committed to making renovateaudio.com and our web tools accessible to people with disabilities. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We consider accessibility in new features and fix reported problems as a priority.

2 What We Have Done

In October 2026 we audited the site and the sign-up, checkout, cancellation and vocal editor flows, and fixed what we found, including:

  • A working "Skip to main content" link and a main landmark on every page
  • Text and focus-indicator contrast raised to WCAG AA levels
  • Keyboard access to the vocal editor, its seek bar, menus and dialogs, with focus moved into dialogs and returned when they close
  • Labels for form fields and controls, and error and status messages announced to screen readers
  • Real lists, headings and in-page links on our legal pages
  • A cookie choice bar that is keyboard operable and never blocks the page
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" setting in animations and scrolling

We test with automated checks (axe-core), keyboard-only use and screen-reader spot checks.

3 Known Limitations

Some parts of the Service do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:

  • Renovate Melody PDF manual: the PDF is not fully tagged for screen readers. An accessible version is available on request — email us and we will send it.
  • Standalone /sample and /library tools: these older tool pages are still being brought up to the same standard; some controls may lack labels or full keyboard support.
  • Complex audio editing: some interactions, such as waveform dragging and fine-grained knob adjustments, are easier with a pointer. We provide keyboard and button alternatives where we can and are improving the rest.
  • Audio content: sung demo clips do not yet all have text descriptions or lyrics.

4 Feedback and Contact

If you run into a barrier, or need information in a different format, please email support@renovateaudio.com with the subject "Accessibility". Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, the browser and assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

5 Other Ways to Get Help

If any part of the site is hard to use, our email support can help you directly with:

  • Creating an account
  • Choosing and buying a plan or credits
