Table of Contents

Renovate Audio ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our products and services — including web applications, desktop software, plugins, AI generation tools, cloud features, APIs, our website, and any future Renovate Audio products or features (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, improve, and secure the Service. The types of information we collect include:

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address

Username or display name

Password (stored using industry-standard security protections)

Account creation date

Login activity and authentication tokens

1.2 Payment and Billing Information

When you purchase credits, subscriptions, or other paid features, we collect:

Payment method details (processed by third-party payment processors)

Billing address

Transaction history and purchase amounts

Purchase timestamps and subscription status

We do not directly store full credit card numbers. Payment processing is handled by trusted third-party services that comply with industry security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS).

1.3 Usage and Telemetry Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including:

Features accessed and actions taken

Generation requests and settings (e.g., parameters, mode selections, format preferences)

Credit usage and account balance history

Error logs and performance metrics

Device type, operating system, browser, and software version information

IP address and general location data (country or region level)

1.4 Prompts, Inputs, and Generation Parameters

When you use AI-powered features of the Service, we may collect:

Text prompts, descriptions, or other inputs you submit for AI generation

Generation parameters and configuration settings

Timestamps of generation requests

Note on local vs. cloud processing: Certain products or features of the Service process inputs locally on your device and do not upload user audio or files to our servers. Where local processing applies, we collect only metadata about the generation process rather than the content itself. For features that process content in the cloud, inputs may be transmitted to our servers or third-party providers as necessary to deliver the Service. The applicable processing method is described within the relevant product or feature.

1.5 Generated Outputs and Metadata

When you use AI generation features of the Service, we process and may store certain outputs and related data to deliver and improve the Service. This may include:

AI-generated audio or other outputs, stored temporarily for delivery to you

Generation metadata (such as prompts, settings, model parameters, timestamps, and technical logs) for debugging, security, and quality improvement

Logs of successful and failed generation attempts

For users without an active subscription, generated outputs are typically stored only long enough to deliver them and support short-term technical operations, then deleted or anonymized. For subscribers who have access to cloud storage features, we may retain exported outputs and associated metadata as described in Section 1.6.

1.6 Cloud Storage and Library Data

Where cloud storage features are available as part of a subscription or qualifying plan, we may store:

Exported outputs (such as audio files) associated with your account

Metadata about those exports (such as prompts, parameters, timestamps, internal identifiers, and storage locations)

Playback, access, and re-download activity related to your stored outputs

This information is used to:

  • Allow you to view, manage, and re-download exported outputs while your subscription is active
  • Provide account history and usage insights
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Service

If your subscription ends, your export history and metadata may remain in our systems, but access to cloud-stored files may be paused or revoked. Stored files may be deleted after a reasonable retention period, as described in Section 4.

1.7 Support Communications

If you contact our support team, we collect:

Your email address

The content of your message

Any files, screenshots, or attachments you provide

Support ticket history

1.8 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

Maintain your login session and authentication state

Remember your preferences and settings

Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service

Support security and fraud prevention

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service.

Retention Guidelines by Data Type

Account data: Retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Prompt data and generation metadata: Retained for a period necessary to provide the Service, improve moderation and quality, and maintain security. Some metadata may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics.

Temporary outputs (e.g., undownloaded previews): Typically stored only as long as needed to deliver the output and support short-term technical operations, then deleted or anonymized.

Exported outputs for non-subscribers: We generally do not retain long-term copies of exported outputs for users without an active subscription, other than temporary copies needed to deliver the file or support debugging.

Cloud-stored outputs for subscribers: Retained while your subscription is active, subject to storage limits. If your subscription ends or your account is deleted, access may be paused or removed, and files may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax, accounting, and financial regulations.

Support communications: Retained for as long as necessary to resolve your issue and for legitimate operational and compliance purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law, for security or fraud prevention, or in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics and product improvement.
